TECAR therapy
One therapy - Many possibilities
Orthopedics
Reduction of the effects of joint and muscle injuries and acceleration of healing after fractures and surgeries
Rehabilitation
Relief of inflammation and pain in muscles and joints and myofascial relaxation
Sports Medicine
Acceleration of recovery from overloads and injuries to the musculoskeletal system typical for sports activities
Aesthetic Medicine
Treatment support for subcutaneous adipose tissue disorders in women and scar smoothing
Proven effectiveness
Trust the modern method
TECAR therapy is a modern method with a complex effect. It allows treatment with radiofrequency current to be carried out in combination with manual therapy at an early stage of rehabilitation. It produces a range of clinical effects adapted to the needs of a wide range of patients, depending on the level of energy emitted by the unit.
Positive effects of therapy confirmed by Evidence Based Physiotherapy
The effects of TECAR therapy are quickly noticed and felt by patients
Thanks to the technology used, TECAR therapy is safe and pleasant for the patientt
Use in both acute and chronic patients, with the appropriate selection of parameters
How does TECAR therapy work?
The name TECAR comes from the Spanish phrase [Transferencia Electrica Capacitivia Resistivia], meaning ‘capacitive- resistive current transfer’. In Polish literature, one can also often come across the terms: resistive-capacitive diathermy, long-wave diathermy or RF treatments.
In contrast to traditional diathermy, TECAR therapy involves the application of energy to tissues through direct contact between electrodes and the patient's body. The mode of action on the human body depends on the selected unit operation mode and the electrical conductivity of the tissues, which determine the depth of energy penetration in the patient's body.
In capacitive mode, the high-frequency current primarily affects highly vascularised tissues with good electrical conductivity, such as muscles and the lymphatic system. In contrast, in the resistive mode, it affects bones, tendons and ligaments, which are characterised by low water content and poorer electrical conductivity.
Depending on the level of energy emitted by the unit and the type of condition being treated, the therapy allows to achieve the following biological and clinical effects:
- Biostimulation - enhances cell metabolism and nutrition and fluid microcirculation, without thermal effect
- Vascularization - leads to dilation of blood vessels and oxygenation of tissues with an accompanying thermal effect
- Hyperactivation - produces a high thermal effect, and with it, detoxification and tissue reconstruction
What customers are saying about TECAR therapy
Pleasant patient experience, results visible after the first visit (reduction of pain, improvement of mobility), combination of therapy with manual therapy. The purchase of the Tecaris apparatus was a hit...I recommend.
In my practice, I work with athletes, orthopedic and dental patients. Manual therapy is my daily routine, which causes my hands to be notoriously strained. I have been successfully implementing TECAR therapy for some time now, and I can see that it is a method I badly needed. The development of knowledge and technology allows us to combine these two areas more and more effectively. This benefits patients as well as us physiotherapists. We can improve and maximize the effects of therapy while making patients more comfortable.
I believe that TECAR therapy with the Tecaris apparatus that I work on is a GREAT complement to MANUAL THERAPY.
Since we have been using TECAR Therapy in our office, we have seen that patients are more satisfied with their treatment progress. The treatment time is also reduced, resulting in positive feedback and recommendations for our office. Thanks to the quick results of TECAR Therapy, we can see more patients in a shorter period of time, which increases our work efficiency.
The comfort of the treatments and the versatility of its use make it an ideal option for any physiotherapy practice.
Thanks to TECAR therapy, I have significantly increased the range and quality of services in my office. Patients appreciate this form of therapy because it is effective and painless, and it significantly relieves my workload as a therapist.
